( East Finance ) THREE The status of 5G Recently, the "Research Report on 5G and Industrial Automation Integration" jointly released by China Industrial Internet Research Institute and Siemens (China) Co., LTD., indicates that China's 5G industrial application has shifted from peripheral auxiliary links to the core control link of production. Currently, industries like aircraft, shipping, electronics, and mining have implemented "5G+ industrial Internet" innovations with applications such as remote equipment control, machine vision quality inspection, and unmanned intelligent inspection. However, the integration of 5G and industrial automation also faces challenges including limited availability of 5G terminals in low-delay scenarios for industrial automation, uncertain network reliability and high real-time requirements, as well as difficult network management. The R16 version of the 5G standard can fulfill industrial motion control requirements, but it is not yet mature for commercial use due to an end-to-end delay of over 10 milliseconds in the current commercial 5G network based on the R15 version. The construction of 5G factories and the development of 5G industrial applications in industrial enterprises will continue to progress through actions like technological research, product R&D, and application implementation.
