According to China National Intellectual Property Administration, sewing machinery industry has applied for a total of 6,337 patents of various types in 2023 (till the day when it’s published, the same below), consisting of 1,807 invention patents, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%, accounting for 28.4%, 3,611 practical patents, accounting for 56.6%, 959 design patents (including textile machinery), accounting for 15%, and 850 newly authorized invention patents. Data show that the number of invention patent applications in the sewing machinery sector accounted for 28.4%, with 850 newly authorized invention patents, of which the quality has steadily improved. The annual applications by leading enterprises in the industry, such as JACK and MAQI, have exceeded 100. They have shown robust innovation capacity, and the industry's overall scientific research and innovation improves significantly, which demonstrates the progress of the industry's scientific and technological innovation system with intellectual property as its core. This will empower the industry to build a new development pattern and promote high-quality development.
